Microsoft fixes major bugs in windows 10 - See latest Update

Windows 10 is the newest version of Microsoft's computer software and is hugely popular.

The American tech giant consistently adds improvements and fixes to its operating system.

The latest update from Microsoft has introduced a number of remedies to existing issues for users running Windows 10 on the October 2018 Update, also known as version 1809.

The Redmond-based firm clarified the new update, that brings the build number of the software to 17763.316, does not bring new features.

However, it did state a number of "quality improvements" are present.

The firm noted an issue has been fixed that previously prevented Microsoft Edge, the firm's browser, from loading sites using a local IP address or a VPN connection.

Moreover, it was also insisted a problem with Microsoft HoloLens has been addressed that previously allowed users to "bypass" its lock screen during some work flows.

Finally, the tech giant also said the new build includes security updates for a number of notable programmes.

These were said to be Microsoft Scripting Engine, Microsoft Edge, Windows Server, the Microsoft JET Database Engine, Internet Explorer, Windows Wireless Networking, Windows Storage and Filesystems, Windows Input and Composition, Windows Graphics, and Windows App Platform and Frameworks.

Users running Windows 10 on its April 2018 Update, or version 1803, have received many of the same fixes as detailed above.

The new update from Microsoft takes the April 2018 Update to build number 17134.590.

It is worth noting the tech giant has said while the new version addresses a number of issues, it does bring one in its own right.

Microsoft has said after the new upgrade has been downloaded for those running the April 2018 Update, some users will be unable to "pin a web link on the Start menu or the taskbar".

However, the American company has said it is working on a resolution for the problem.

But it was not clarified when such a remedy will arrive.

The new builds for Windows 10 fans running either the April or October 2018 updates was released on Tuesday, February 12.
